Techie Gadgets

I found some fascinatingly powerful Gadgets.  This amazing pink piece by Russian designer Alexey Sharshakov is called Svintus, and that means piggy in Russian. As a typical European socket reminds of a snout of a pig, the designer decided to use the idea. It’s not just a usual power strip, it’s a multi-snout cutie that you will not want to hide behind a couch.   It’s a great idea – functional as it may accommodate up to seventeen plugs, and a pretty, lovely piece
to enjoy it. The built-in circuit breaker protects from overload.  What do you think?  Cute?  Too much?

Swintus Power Strip

Electroman Surge Protector

Meet a powerful man who is more than a boring power outlet. Perfect for home, school or office, his legs and arms have three-prong sockets with enough room even for the biggest adapter. He features a circuit breaker switch and grounded plugs for safety, and is a fun alternative to the standard, clunky multi-plug. ( buy )

and finally...how about these shoes?

Nah, they're more than shoes!

Electrolux Vacuum Shoes

In an announcement sure to cause lazy people everywhere to raise their arms ever so slightly in glee, home appliance manufacturer Electrolux has revealed a "vacuum shoe" concept model. In order to accommodate the electric motor - the concept design features a rather thick and ugly sole. Seeing as this is just a concept model that's at least a couple of testing stages away from a real product, we wouldn't be surprised if the real model was even more "visually challenged." No matter, because a device that completes chores without the owner knowingly doing them is effectively impossible to price, although that doesn't mean Electrolux won't try. And if the vacuum shoe does manage to make it out of testing, it probably won't ship for a while.

  2. Good morning, Jan! It was wonderful seeing your name pop up at the table. I have so much catching up to do here. I've been limiting my visits to Fridays whenever possible because the extended computer use is hurting my back and my wrists.
I love your header and those beautiful faces at the top of your sidebar. :)
Gotta love those vacuum shoes. ;)
